Stages involved in labelling
The cost of the OCEAN APPROVED® Label is made up of a fee paid to the owner of the Label (Fondation de la Mer) and the cost of the audits (initial and follow-up) carried out by the assessment bodies approved by Fondation de la Mer.
The fee structure has been designed to make the label accessible to all types of companies.
For more information, please consult the rules of operation or contact Fondation de la Mer.
Frequency of labelling sessions
The labelling committee will meet twice a year to decide on the award of the OCEAN APPROVED® label to candidate companies.
A network of Ocean Approved consultants to guide you towards labellisation
Fondation de la Mer selected and trained 24 consultants to offer you tailored support to accompany you in your labelling process.
Fondation de la Mer has decided to refer to independent consultants specialized in CSR, consultants from La Fresque Océane, Bureau Veritas Living Resources and People4Impact by Birdeo, to enable you to select the formula best suited to your activity.
Support can be provided in French or English, on site or remotely.
Fondation de la Mer x People4Impact by Birdeo partnership :
Fondation de la Mer and People4Impact are joining forces to enable consultants registered on the platform to become referents and accompany companies towards the OCEAN APPROVED label.
Launched in 2019 by the recruitment agency Birdeo, People4Impact is a platform dedicated to independent experts and transition managers in positive impact professions: CSR, sustainable development, societal commitment, sustainable finance, responsible purchasing etc.
People4Impact is helping to accelerate sustainable transformation among players with the same ambition: to change the world and make practices evolve to become more responsible.
Fondation de la Mer x Bureau Veritas Living Resources partnership :
Since 2011, with its subsidiary Bureau Veritas Living Resources, Bureau Veritas has been offering expert solutions and services adapted to the marine fisheries and aquaculture sector, extended to the living world (agriculture, forestry), notably on carbon neutrality and climate resilience.
Bureau Veritas Living Resources tailors its support towards the Ocean Approved label to each company, depending on its business, organisation and challenges. Specifically trained consultants bring their expertise, their CSR and auditing experience, and their adaptability.
